The MPA degree at Dalhousie prepares graduates for leadership in public sector institutions, provides a solid education in governance, public policy, and management, and gives students the tools to succeed in complex organizations. Given the school's reputation (with its tradition back to 1936) and close, positive relationship with governments and other employers in Canada, graduates from the program have an excellent record of career development.
The Dalhousie MPA program is available as a 2 year full-time course of study or on a part-time basis, which is normally completed within 7 years. A total of 18 courses are needed for the Master of Public Administration program of which 11 are required while the other 7 are elective.
